In Windows Vista: Cannot Install Printer Driver?

Submitted by admin on August 19, 2009 – 10:27 pmOne Comment

I just bought a computer with Vista and am trying to install a photo printer. I have the disc that came with the printer. I’ve also downloaded a driver from the printer’s manufacturer. I keep getting the message, “The version of present Windows cannot install a printer driver.” What does this mean, and how can I get the printer to work?

This error is common. it means that the driver does not support windows vista, it may only support XP or below XP operating systems. just contact the printer company, they might have provide you with driver that supports vista.
