I’m having a problem with my Xerox 4800 flatbed scanner.
I purchased a new laptop recently with Windows Vista and have been unable to finish installing the software needed for the scanner.
I realise this is probably because of the drivers and their incompatibility with Vista (seeing as I’ve now had to download drivers for my printer, graphics tablet etc etc)
However I managed to install the program Paperport that came with it and now I want to uninstall it so that I can try the whole thing again. However whenever I try to do this I get the “FATAL ERROR DURING INSTALLATION” message. Any ideas on what to do? Also does anyone know where I could obtain the driver to install the scanner on Vista. I’ve looked on the Xerox website but can’t find the one I need.
